JUAN ADRIATICO SR.: Juan Adriatico's mission is to bring everybody's attention to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to honoring our armed forces, educating the youth and community on the great outdoors. And, guiding others to find enjoyment in agriculture and land conservation. Mr. Adriatico graduated from the University of Central Florida when it was called Florida Technical University. He was born in Goldenrod, FL (Oviedo) and raised helping his Filipino father (grounds keeper on the military base) work their 5 orange groves and shadowed his Polish mother (also a flight nurse in the military) during her realestate transactions. Mr. Juan was not inclined to do the hard work that his daddy had instilled in him with hand saws and machetes and purchased a Winzor chainsaw when he was 9 years old. He has two children, Juan Jr. (serves our country as a navy chaplain and lives in Texas) and Alcira (bio below). Mr. Juan loves the Lord, our country, feeding his fish and cattle, tending the land, swimming in the ocean at night, jumping in the local springs and has great joy preaching on the street corners of Deland, FL when he's not at the airsoft field.
DAVID AND ALCIRA SAMSON: David and Alcira (Mr. Juan's daughter) Samson love running Raptor Airsoft with Mr. Adriatico. But, when they aren't involved with airsoft, they are in St. Johns County. David & Alcira (al-si-duh) Samson also love the Lord and the USA and have been married since 2010.
David is Mr. Juan's son-in-law and was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where his father was a fireman for 40 years while his mom stayed home with him and his 5 siblings. He played baseball and graduated from Trinity Baptist College in 2002. David is a HUGE Michigan Football fan - GO BLUE! For the last 15 years, David has been the director at Lighthouse Christian School - Westside, which helps students with learning disabilities.
Alcira "Adriatico" Samson (Mr. Juan's daughter) was born and raised in Oviedo, FL. She graduated from the University of Central FL in 2005. In high school, she was attended Father Lopez High School and received the "Volusia County Softball Player of the Year" for both 2000 and 2001 and received a full-ride softball scholarship to "Florida Southern College". Currently, Alcira runs all social media and assists her father every weekend for airsoft game play at Raptor Airsoft Field & Shop. Prior to that, she gave pitching & hitting lessons (www.softballisfun.com SOFTBALLISFUN ) and also enriched the lives of the elderly at assisted living homes through singing and playing piano to genres such as: broadway musicals, Italian, Spanish, Jewish, Country, hymnals, 50s, and classical music.
AGRITOURISM: This has been a private farm and ranch for the past 30 years. Recently, we have noticed that the youth has not had a place to enjoy the outdoors and become educated about the military. Our Christian mission here at Raptor Airsoft Field is to educate the youth about using gun safety with the use of airsoft guns and also build teamwork through events and working with others.
This 160 acre ranch actively raises cattle for beef production, timber, grows moringa, honey production, and raises fish. Agriculture is a big part of what we do here. The ranch includes 14 stocked ponds, an 18 target 3-D archery course for archery, and a 10 acre airsoft field that has the capability of 130 acres of gameplay during special events. This location is based on agritourism which is covered by Florida statue 570.88.
